Mutate is powered by a 3.7GB core library of unique raw waveforms and pre-designed preset multi-samples, synthesized from the ground up, and recorded directly from a huge hybrid analogue / digital Eurorack modular synth system. In essence this means that as a producer, sound designer or programmer you have access to a truly diverse tapestry of creative sounds and building blocks, before you have even touched Mutate's creative on-board parameters!

Please note: This instrument does NOT work with the Free Kontakt Player. A full version of Native Instruments Kontakt 5.2.1 (or above) is required to run Mutate.
Mutate ships with two separate instruments; the 'Raw Waveforms' instrument and the 'Designed Presets' Instrument.
Raw Waveforms Instrument
The 'Raw Waveforms' instrument is powered by 2730 multi-samples spread across 46 waveform patches. Up to four oscillators (plus noise oscillator) can be mixed, panned and tuned to create unique layered, synthesized sounds.
Designed Presets Instrument
The 'Designed Preset' Instrument is powered by 6305 perfectly looped multi-samples, spread across 142 expressive, evolving patches which are ready to use straight out of the box; with filter settings, modulation, and envelope settings recorded straight from the modular Eurorack system.
Both instruments feature Sequencer and FX edit pages;

At the heart of Mutate you will find a 32-step, 16 track, variable rate ‘parameter lock' sequencer, allowing you to automate; note pitch, volume, note length, attack, filter cut-off, filter resonance, filter LFO depth, Filter LFO rate, stereo spread, distortion levels, reverb send and delay send individually, per step! When used with the instruments ‘shuffle' function, anything from subtle sample and hold type effects to completely insane, morphing sequences can be created. This is where things get really interesting!

- Mutate was driven by the desire to create a truly unique ‘Bass Machine' synth capable of twisting waveforms 'inside-out' using extensive modulation and sequencer parameter lock techniques.
From the start it was our mission to push Kontakt's scripting capabilities to the limit, to deliver a synth with an experimental edge, capable of devastating, evolving sounds for the bass heads.

License Agreement
The Following End User License Agreement is included with Mutate. This License is only valid for the individual who has purchased an unopened, new and lawfully made copy of Mutate from a dealer or distributor authorized by Big Fish Audio.
"1. What am I purchasing? When you purchase one of our sample libraries you are NOT obtaining OWNERSHIP of the sounds in the library. You are in fact purchasing a LICENCE to use the sounds within your musical compositions, whether or not your compositions are released commercially. The original producer of the sounds will always remain the OWNER of the sounds. Once purchased your license is NONTRANSFERABLE which means that the license is authorized only to the original purchaser. You are not permitted in ANY way to share the purchased sample library with others. We work closely with the BPI and other International organizations to monitor illegal internet file sharing. If you are engaged in the illegal file sharing of our products we WILL gain sufficient evidence to prosecute you in line with current copy write laws. 2. How can I use Wave Alchemy Samples? Once you have purchased one of our sound libraries you have a singleuser license which permits you to use samples from that library in your own musical compositions. You may release such compositions commercially without payment of any further royalties or fees for such usage. You cannot use the sounds from our sample libraries in isolation for a commercial release or project. For example you are not authorized to create another sample CD or sound library with any of the sounds from our products. Doing so will infringe copyright law and you will be liable for prosecution under the copy write design and patents act 1988. You are permitted to use the sounds in library or production music as long as you follow the guidelines above and use sounds in musical compositions rather than in isolation."
