What is Impulse Modeling Synthesis?
This innovative approach to sound generation goes far beyond traditional forms of synthesis. It offers a completely new world of sounds and huge potential for producing creative modern music.
Conventional synthesizers use a technique that is known as ‘substractive-synthesis’: An oscillator plays a looped waveform that is passed through a filter to shape the sound. In contrast, RayBlaster uses an entirely new approach for synthesis. It creates its distinctive sound by combining many short bursts of energy to form a complex sound. In fact, this innovative technique is very close to how our human inner ear perceives sound. Because of this radically different synthesis method RayBlaster offers a massive amount of unique signature sounds, which are impossible with other synthesizers. Modulation
Spice up your tracks with exciting movement! Do you want to use the LFO to wobble your sound? Simply drop it to a knob and you've got it. Modulation can be as simple or complex as you want. You can use drag&drop or the modulation matrix to connect dozens of sources to all important sound parameters. Modulate almost any parameter with audio-rate speed, from internal modulation sources like LFOs, punchy envelopes, step sequencers, and a wide variety of MIDI signals. We've also included midi-learn, so assigning CC's is as simple as a right-click.
Effects
RayBlaster 2.5 comes with a huge variety of effects that were developed and fine-tuned to complement RayBlaster's Impulse-Modeling-Synthesis. 44 different stereo effects are included, all carefully crafted to offer the highest quality possible: We have included a large variety of Reverbs, Delays, Chorus, Ensemble, Phaser, Flanger, Rotary, Compressor, Amp-Sim, Equalizer, Surround-Encode, TranceGate, Resonator, Hypersaw and so on.
Waveforms, Samples & Resynthesis
In addition to importing filter characteristics into RayBlaster's oscillators, you can also import the waveform of any other synthesizer. This gives you an unlimited number of possible waveshapes, all of which are capable of being morphed in real-time. You can re-synthesize short samples like a drumloop or a vocal phrase. RayBlaster also offers many possibilities to synchronize complex sounds to your track's BPM as well as providing the ability to manipulate the pitch, timing and the timbre of all your sounds in real-time.

License Agreement
The Following End User License Agreement is included with Rayblaster 2. This License is only valid for the individual who has purchased an unopened, new and lawfully made copy of Rayblaster 2 from a dealer or distributor authorized by Big Fish Audio.
"For software products produced by Best Service the German Copyright Act is effective. All other Software products sold and/or distributed by Best Service are subject to the license agreement which is part of the respective software installer.
The samples and programs contained in any software/library produced by Best Service are licensed to the owner/buyer of the product only. Only the purchaser of this CD is authorized to use the sounds for his music-, multimedia-, film-, radio-, games-, webcast- or similar productions and only as long as no isolated samples, loops or phrases become available for a third party.
It is not allowed to use the samples and programs within a network if this opens the possibility to be used simultaneously by multiple users. Unauthorized copying, reproduction (including conversion and reproduction in other data formats), hire, rental, public performance, broadcasting and distribution is expressly prohibited. Best Service constantly monitors other soundware releases to check for copyright infringements, and will prosecute all piracy and copyright violations to the fullest extent of the law.
Products marked as NFR (Not For Resale) may only be used for demonstration, reviewing or testing, but not for commercial production.
