What is Hit Life?

It's a new collection of Modern Hip Hop kits compiled into the new KLI 3.0 interface.

This gives you instant access to modern drums, percussion, piano, synth, string, vocal, horn, and bass loops with full access to quickly add fx and alter the pitch/speed to match any project.

The new KLI interface allows for more flexibility with full effect chains per key, send fx, and a new stutter mode in the sliced patches.

You get the full kits, the individual sound types, drum loops with the individual hits separate, and sliced versions of each loop for control over each piece of the sample.

How does it sound?

If you're looking for the modern more contemporary style of Hip Hop then this library definitely delivers.

There's a good mixture of 808 an Trap style drum parts, fresh synth leads, and plenty of keys, strings, as well as a few vocal and horn parts.

The variety is pretty deep and I was surprised by some of the more melodic parts of piano and strings as they had a very musical vibe to them.

The recording quality is on point, there are no random artifacts or sloppy sample edits, and no noise added from too much artificial gain.

Overall the sound and variety delivers a quality product with plenty of content to dig through.

So what's the bottom line?

Need a nice collection of modern Hip Hop and possibly RnB style samples? This is definitely something you may want to check out

I give Hit Life 4 out of 5 subs, I think it's well recorded, with plenty of useful and inspiring content in a flexible interface that allows plenty of customization.

As with most products like these, it is definitely aimed at a specific style so you certainly would need to be looking for this type of sound.

However, for those that are looking for this specific style I doubt you'll be disappointed, as it hits the style, flow, and feel of modern Rap and Hip Hop tracks.
