The sleeve notes of this CD suggest that we realise the difference between techno from the likes of Derrick May and Juan Atkins before lumping it in with Eurotrash beats. In fact, they're veering towards being a tad anal about it all. But hey, you didn't come here to read about sleeve notes - listening and sampling is much more fun. And with the inspired quality of these tracks, you ain't gonna go far wrong.

Neatly separated into 10 demos with composite parts, followed by dedicated drum loop tracks and what are termed 'music loops', there's a huge variety of material here. It's not all your standard stuff either, although that's there if you want it; there are some really imaginative ideas at work throughout the CD that ain't simply confined to techno. Splendid hi-hat patterns and a nod to Mr Oizo grace the CD and its Xpert ethos.
