This collection is all about the low end. Platinum Essentials offers tracks that nail that pumpin' club kick sound with ruff n ready rhythms ideally suited for your next hip-hop project. Users will find that this collection requires a little more work than "just add water" - I've heard more punchy, radio-ready loops elsewhere, but if you sift through the individual elements you're bound to make gravy. With tempos from 93 to 103bpm, you won't get up to "Bombs Over Bagdhad" tempo craziness, but you can lock down some fat beat elements at more traditional tempos. I was a little frustrated that some of the music elements in the full demos weren't offered as separate splits. Tracks 21 through 25 are dedicated to bass and synth; the first 20 tracks give you flexibility primarily with rhythmic elements. Producers Keith Clark and Luke Most have put together a very usable collection of beats here including some low end all-star sounds for those on their way to platinum status. Bling, bling!
